Although born in Southern California, Doug Claims Alaska as his adopted home. Prior to
|
his buddy, Don Boston started a band called “Banyon”. Five years later Pete moved on to a high-powered rock band called “Holy Smoke”. While rockin out at night, Pete worked high above the Chicago skyline as an ironworker guiding girders onto high rise construction projects. If ya’ listen carefully, you’ll probably hear some Holy Smokin’ goin on in some of his solos!

coming to Florida, Doug and his wife Donna owned a fishing resort in the southeast part of the state for 12 years. He has played banjo since he was in his twenties and before joining Skeeterland was a member of “The Possum Belly Band” and “Whitlin’ on the Porch”. |

Originally a guitarist specializing in Spiritual music, she made a change to mandolin when she was bitten by the Bluegrass bug. |

Ed is from New Orleans, in 1975 he started playing standup bass in North Carolina. He came to Florida in 1978, joined the South Florida Bluegrass |
|
|
|
Association and began playing with the Bluegrass Cousins. Ed then started the band Bluegrass Plus and has since been a member of the New River Riders, Crossroads Bluegrass Band and in addition to being Skeeterland’s newest member, still plays with the Palms Bluegrass Band. Throughout his career, he has played, country, blues, swing, old time, folk, and bluegrass.
